EVoCharge EVSE & iEVSE – Level 2 EV Charging Station (32 Amp) | 16-32 Amp | Level 2 | 18 feet (5.5 m) & 25 feet (7.6 m) | NEMA 6-50 | 7.68 kW | Click for more info |
The charging power is rated at 7.68 kW and it can work at any amperage between 16 and 32 amp. You can plug it into any NEMA 6-50 outlet at a 240V voltage. On the other end of the cable it uses the standard J1772 connector which will work with virtually any EV in North America, be it directly or through an adapter as is the case with the Tesla Model S, 3, X and Y.
The cable is attached to the unit and can’t be disconnected since this is a tethered charger like all the others sold in America. You can get it with either an 18 foot cable (5.5 meters) or a 25 foot cable (7.6 meters).
So what are the estimated charging times for this fast EV AC Charger? A Tesla Model Y should take about 10 hours to charge while a standard Tesla Model 3 should charge in about 7-8 hours. A Hyundai Kona or a Kia Niro should take about 9 hours to get from 0 to 100% charge.
If you buy the version with WiFi, you can use the app to set a charging schedule, manage multiple electric vehicle chargers of the same type from one device, remotely start or stop charging and look over reports for each session: how many kWh were delivered to the car and how long it took.
This electric car charging station comes with a 3-Year warranty which is expected in its price range and the outer housing has a NEMA 4 rating (The equivalent of IP66) so you can rely on it to be waterproof and dustproof.
ENEL X JuiceBox 32 – Level 2 EV Charging Station (32 Amp)
Product | Amp rating | Level | Cable Length | Nema | Power | Price |

ENEL X JuiceBox 32 – Level 2 EV Charging Station (32 Amp) | 32 Amp | Level 2 | 25 feet (7.6 m) | NEMA 14-50 | 7.7 kW | Click for more info |
It can be plugged into a NEMA 14-50 outlet running at 240V but can also be hardwired while on the other end of the cable, there is an SAE J1772 connector.
This is a smart electric car charger and that is because it has a WiFi connection and a dedicated smartphone app which you can use to read critical info such as the charging power, voltage, amperage and also how many kWh were added to the vehicle. There are also some features which are not critical but give you perspective on things such as the metric that shows you how much CO2 has been saved by you up until now. You can remotely start it or stop it with your voice because it can fully integrate with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant.
The Enel X JuiceBox is NEMA 4X rated which would be the equivalent of IP66, so you can rely on it to be waterproof and also able to withstand large amounts of dirt and dust. The design of the wall box is very nice and minimalistic, everything is done from your smartphone.
Morec – Level 2 Portable EV Charger (32 Amp)
Product | Amp rating | Level | Cable Length | Nema | Power | Price |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
Morec – Level 2 Portable EV Charger (32 Amp) | 32 Amp | Level 2 | 26 Feet (7.9M) | NEMA 14-50 & NEMA 6-50 | 7.68 kW | Click for more info |
This 7kw EV charger can be plugged into a NEMA 14-50 or NEMA 6-50 outlet running at 220V – 240V. It is a portable charger and as far as we are aware, it can’t be hardwired or at least that would not really be the point. The cable measures 26 feet (7.9 meters) which is right on par with other devices in its price class.
It is not a smart charger, there’s no connectivity or smartphone app. It also lacks the scheduled charging feature, so you will need to rely on your EV for that and the good news is that most new electric cars come with it built in. The idea is that you can schedule the time of the day when the car charges so that you only use off-peak electricity and thus it is cheaper. The only “features” that it has are overcurrent, overvoltage and overheating protection.
The Morec 7kW charger comes with a 1-Year No-Hassle warranty and its enclosure is tough and durable because it is IP66 rated, so you can splash it with water or keep it in a dust storm and it will still work. It is the lightest charger in this selection with a total weight of 10 lbs.

If you’ve been looking at EV Chargers for a while then yes, your hunch is correct. This is a Duosida control box. No LCD, just 4 LED lights that can tell you whether the charger is getting power, whether it is delivering electrical energy to the car or if there is a fault. It is not a smart charger, no smartphone app or connectivity.
This control box is IP67 rated which is one of the highest numbers that we’ve found on an EV charger and the unit comes with a 1-Year No-Hassle warranty.
