We’re going to start with the base model, the cheapest one in the product line and the one with the least coverage, the Flymo Easilife 200.

This robot mower can only cover a lawn size of up to 200 m2, so it is a great device if you have a small garden or yard. Coverage is one of the most important aspects because there you will find the biggest difference in prices.

The Easilife was designed for lawns with shorter grass because its adjustable cutting height varies from 0.7″ to 2″ (2 to 5 cm). It has a cutting disc mounted on the bottom that uses 3 Pivoting Razor Blades with a cut width of 6″ (16 cm). This means everytime it goes past a patch of grass, it will cut 6 inches.

You can program it using the Assist-U interface which is a touchpad mounted on the top or by using the Flymo Easilife smartphone app on the App Store and Google Play. It is pretty straightforward and simple to use, you don’t need a user manual. You can set mowing schedules for every week and check on the status of the lawn mower. There is no integration with any smart home device like Google Home or Alexa (Amazon Echo), but that could be added in the future by Flymo.

It has some safety features so you can’t get hurt by it like a tilt sensor and lift sensor. In terms of security, it has an alarm and a PIN code which has to be entered every 30 days.

Then there are its special features like PassageSense which helps it navigate narrow passages in your yard or garden, there is FrostSense which just tells it not to mow when it is too cold outside and LawnSense which adapts the cutting schedule according to how fast the grass on your lawn is growing.

In terms of battery life, it has a run time of 65 minutes and the charging time is almost identical to it. In the package you’ll find the following: Flymo EasiLife 200 Charging Station + Lawn screws Waterproof Power Supply + Low Voltage Cable, 100 Metres of Loop Wire, 150 Staples for the Loop Wire, Connectors for the Loop Wire and a User Manual.

Now let’s compare the Flymo Easilife 350 vs Flymo Easilife 200. The biggest and most obvious difference is in the coverage. The 350 can cover an area of up to 350 m2 while the 200 can only cover 200 m2.

They both have the same cut height and cutting width and their running times are identical. But with the 350 you also get 50 additional meters of loop wire to account for the additional coverage. The 350 is also about 30% more expensive, so if your lawn is not necessarily bigger, it doesn’t make any sense to get the bigger model.

The Flymo Easilife 500 is the model with the most coverage in Flymo’s product line.

Flymo Easilife 500 vs Flymo Easilife 200

The Easilife 500 can cover a yard or garden that has a lawn size of up to 500 m2 while the Easilife 200 is limited to 200 m2. The Easilife 500 also has the additional 50 meters of loop wire, so when you choose between them again, it is all down to the size of your lawn. The autonomy is the same and the security features and safety features remain as well.

Flymo Easilife 500 vs Flymo Easilife 350

Here, the difference again between them is coverage and the 500 model can cover an extra 150 m2, however you do not get the extra loop wire in the package even though it covers more ground, however you do get 50 extra staples for it. The 500 is about 30% more expensive than the Easilife 350.

The Flymo 1200R is a bit different from the rest of the product line because it was actually the first robotic mower that Flymo had built and we’ll compare it to the newer product line to find out what has been improved in the newer ones.

Flymo Easilife 200 vs Flymo 1200R

The 1200R can cover an additional 200 square meters and its cutting disc is built wider with a cut width of 6.7″ (17 cm), however its hill climbing abilities are not as good as the ones on the Easilife 200. The 1200R can only climb a 14 degree (25 %) slope while the Flymo Easilife 200 can go up to 20 (35 %). It also takes a bit more to fully charge the 1200R up to 75 minutes compared to 60. In the package of it you’ll also find 50 extra meters of loop wire.

Flymo Easilife 350 vs Flymo 1200R

The 1200R has the additional edge on surface coverage with just 50 additional square meters. In terms of cutting width, it also has a wider 17 cm disc and like with the 200, it fall short when it comes to climbing steep hills and slopes because it can only climb a 14 degree (25 %) slope. The 350 has a very slight advantage in battery life with 5 extra minutes which is something negligible and will depend on the conditions in which it is used.

Flymo Easilife 500 vs Flymo 1200R

The Easilife 500 is the only model in the newer line that can surpass the coverage of the old 1200R with an additional 100 m2 of area that it can mow. The battery capacity is also larger at 2.0aH compared to 1.6aH on the 1200R. The 1200R also lacks all the FrostSense, PassageSense and LawnSense functions that were developed and introduced in the newer Easilife product range. The Easilife 500 also handles multi-zone much better than the 1200R could.
